An excellent “biography” of cancer written for lay and professionals alike. Dr. Mukherjee’s emphasis is on serving the needs of the patient, which medicine has not always done. I whole-heartedly commend adding this to your reading list. The writing is smooth, with careful explanations of technical terms. I suggest you write/draw a time-line as you read. I wish I had done this – I realized how helpful it would have been at pg. 133. Enjoy!
